Sparks Fostering Team

Faz is our Independent Fostering Panel Chair, who has previously worked as a Carer Recruitment Officer for an Independent Provider, recruiting Foster Carers in London, Kent and Essex. He has developed a good understanding of what is required to become a Foster Carer as well as the ‘journey’ they go through to be (and stay) ‘approved’.

Faz has been sitting on Fostering Panels since 2013 and currently sits on 18 panels, for both Local Authorities and Independent Providers. He is Chair for six and Vice-Chair for eight of these panels. Faz also sits on an Adult Safeguarding Board and a Standards Committee for two different London Boroughs.

Faz has a passion for hiking and has summited Mount Snowdon in Wales several times as well as recently summiting Mount Galdhøpiggen in Norway – Northern Europe’s highest peak at 2469m.’
