Fostering children in Rented Accommodation

A reference will be requested from the landlord of those who live in rented accommodation. The reference will ask the landlord to confirm if the applicants have ever been in rent arrears, if eviction notices have been given, if fostering would be in breach of the rental contract or if there have been any other issues of concern. If the applicant had been in rent arrears or previously had eviction notices served, Sparks Fostering would consider how long ago the arrears and eviction proceedings were and also what circumstances have changed since that time. Foster carers are expected to have kept their home in good condition.
